Description
Synthrapol® is an industrial strength, pH neutral, liquid detergent used as a prewash and afterwash for dyed or painted fabrics and as a wetting agent for fabric dyes and paints. Synthrapol® has the unique property of keeping loose dye suspended during washing, thus preventing backstaining while aiding in the removal of excess color.
Prewash: Prewashing fabric with Synthrapol® to remove oils, waxes, starches and sizings helps ensure an even dye job and reduces the risk of blotchy color.Â
Afterwash:Â After dyeing or painting, rinse fabric in cold water and then wash for at least 10 minutes.
Wetting Agent: Adding Synthrapol® to a dye bath or fabric paint can increase dye penetration and helps ensure even coloring.
To increase the penetration, coverage and adhesion of fabric paints on hard-to-wet fabrics, add 1 to 2 drops Synthrapol® per 2 fl oz/59.15 ml paint.
