Description
This deadstock wool/silk tweed sweater knit features a chunky knit and flecks of contrasting brown, dark orange, and natural-colored fibers throughout. It has a lovely drape and a slightly-textured hand. This fabric is not fully opaque and becomes a bit sheer when stretched. It has great stretch, perfect for sweaters, light jackets, lined dresses, and more. If you are sensitive to wools texture, we recommend lining this fabric or wearing it over a base layer.
Wondering what deadstock means? Deadstock fabrics are left over from garment factories and textile mills. Instead of ending up in a landfill, this fabric comes to us! It can be a more sustainable option than newly manufactured fabrics and its a great way to get interesting garment fabrics (sometimes even designer pieces!).
