The heavy-weight presser foot has a larger “footprint” that assures better contact of the fabric to the feed dogs. An improved larger foot print assures better contact of the fabric to the feed dogs, aiding in the proper feed on heavy-weight materials such as canvas, polar fleece, and fake fur, lace, or quilted fabric beautifully without applying extra or excessive pressure to the presser bar and on to the fabric.
